Welcome to my guitar lesson studio! I’m honored to play a part in your musical journey. Please review the following terms carefully. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Submission of your payment acknowledges and confirms your full acceptance of the terms and conditions detailed below.
EPIC Charter School Students:
Students whose lessons are funded through the Learning Fund and are currently enrolled in EPIC Charter School are subject to a separate Guitar Lessons by Sean McMurray | Agreement for EPIC Charter School Students (the “EPIC Student Agreement”), which governs scheduling, attendance, and Learning Fund–specific policies.
1. Getting Started
To inquire about available lesson times, contact Sean McMurray at (405) 517-5399.
Once a lesson time has been confirmed, students may begin with a four-lesson package or enroll in Autopay for ongoing weekly lessons.
Four-Lesson Package: This option includes four consecutive weekly lessons and is intended for students who would like to try private lessons without enrolling in recurring automatic payments. The agreed lesson time is reserved for the four-lesson package period only. Continued availability of that same lesson time after the four lessons have been completed is not guaranteed and is subject to availability.
Autopay: Students who want to maintain an ongoing recurring weekly lesson time may enroll in Autopay. Please wait until the evening before or the day of your first lesson to enroll so the recurring billing date remains aligned with your lesson schedule.
A student’s lesson time is not considered reserved until the applicable payment has been received. Payments are non-refundable once processed except where otherwise specifically provided in this policy.
2. Lesson Scheduling & Tuition Options
Lessons are normally scheduled at a consistent weekly day and time. How long that lesson time remains reserved depends on the enrollment option selected.
Four-Lesson Package — Private Lessons:
Current four-lesson package pricing is listed on the applicable lesson product page at the time of purchase. Promotional pricing may occasionally be offered and will be described on the applicable product page.
Payment for a four-lesson package is due before the first lesson in the package. Purchasing a four-lesson package reserves the agreed lesson time for those four consecutive scheduled lessons only and does not guarantee continued availability after the package has been completed.
Ongoing Autopay Tuition:
Autopay is billed as flat monthly tuition for ongoing weekly lessons. Current Autopay rates are listed on the Autopay product page. Autopay includes a $5 monthly discount from the standard private-lesson rate while Autopay remains active and in good standing.
Tuition and lesson-package payments are not prorated or discounted for student absences, illness, travel, weather, or other missed lessons except as specifically provided in this policy. For Autopay students, there is no additional charge for months in which five regularly scheduled lessons occur.
Group Lessons: Group lesson tuition and any applicable payment options are listed on the applicable group lesson product or enrollment page.
3. Autopay / Subscription
“Less Hassle, More Music!”
Autopay secures an ongoing recurring weekly lesson time and processes tuition automatically each month using the stored payment method.
Autopay Pricing:
Current Autopay tuition rates are listed on the applicable Autopay product page. Autopay includes a $5 monthly discount from the standard private-lesson rate while Autopay remains active and in good standing. Promotional pricing may occasionally be offered and will be described on the applicable product page.
Autopay Details:
Please wait until the evening before or the day of your first lesson to enroll in Autopay so the recurring billing date stays aligned with your lesson schedule. Your first payment is processed when you enroll. Subsequent payments process automatically on or about the same calendar date each month.
Autopay is flat monthly tuition for ongoing weekly lessons. Months containing five regularly scheduled lessons are included at no additional charge.
Lesson Schedule After Autopay Cancellation:
If Autopay is canceled, lessons will continue through the end of the current paid billing period. After that period ends, the recurring weekly lesson time is no longer reserved or guaranteed.
Cancellation of Autopay / Subscription:
You may cancel at any time through your online account, email, phone, or text. Canceling through your online account is the fastest and preferred method. Once canceled, lessons continue through the end of the current paid billing period, and payments already processed are non-refundable.
- Alternative Cancellation Options:
- Email: Send your notice to sean@topnotchguitarlessons.com.
- Phone or Text: Call or text (405) 517-5399 to cancel.
- Example: If your billing date is the 20th and you cancel on the 21st, lessons continue through the 20th of the following month, then Autopay ends.
4. Late Payment & Time Slot Reservation
- A $15 late fee applies to recurring tuition payments received five (5) or more days late.
- If a recurring tuition payment is not received within seven (7) days of the due date, the reserved lesson time may be released to another student.
- Payments are non-refundable once processed. Late fees may apply when an Autopay payment fails or another recurring tuition payment remains unpaid.
5. Discontinuing Lessons
For Autopay, see Section 3 for details regarding cancellation, billing, and the effect of cancellation on the recurring lesson-time reservation.
Students using a four-lesson package are not automatically enrolled for another package. Once the four purchased lessons have been completed, the lesson time is no longer guaranteed unless additional arrangements have been made.
If you plan to discontinue ongoing lessons, please let us know in advance so the reserved lesson time can be released.
6. Attendance, Absence & Cancellations
Student Absence
- Missed lessons, even with advance notice, do not result in refunds, credits, or rollovers.
- Cancellations by the student or parent count as student absences.
- Make-up lessons may be offered at the instructor’s discretion and based on availability but are not guaranteed.
Instructor Absence
If the instructor cancels a lesson, students may choose a rescheduled lesson or a credit.
7. Sickness & Severe Weather
- If a student is ill, lessons should be attended remotely rather than in person when possible.
- During severe weather such as tornadoes, hail, or ice, lessons shift to a remote format at the usual time if the student cannot safely attend in person. Missed remote lessons are not credited or refunded.
8. Remote Lessons
Students may attend remotely via Zoom with advance notice.
Technical requirements: The student must have a stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone allowing clear audio and video.

9. Holidays
Lessons will not be scheduled on the specific studio holiday dates listed on the current Holiday Closures & Annual Schedule.
Autopay Students: The flat monthly tuition rate already accounts for planned studio holiday closures. No refunds, discounts, credits, or make-up lessons are issued for scheduled holiday closures, and holiday closures do not pause or prorate monthly Autopay billing. Some months naturally include a fifth regularly scheduled lesson at no additional charge, helping balance the annual lesson schedule.
Four-Lesson Package Students: A scheduled studio holiday closure does not count as one of the four purchased lessons. When necessary, the package schedule will be adjusted so the student receives all four purchased lessons.

10. Agreement & Acknowledgment
By submitting payment, the student (or parent/guardian) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms of this Studio Policy & Agreement and the accompanying Full Terms of Service.
Enrollment in Autopay authorizes Guitar Lessons by Sean McMurray to process recurring tuition payments using the payment method provided and to apply the applicable Autopay rate, including the standard Autopay discount or any promotional pricing applicable at the time of enrollment.
